As I stated, I ...

As I stated, I DID NOT book through a third party. I booked directly through IHG. Discounted rates were absolutely offered that weekend. Otherwise, my total would have been almost $800. EVERY bit of misinformation I received was by a Holiday Inn employee. I enjoyed my stay overall. However, booking my stay was a different story. First, I was provided incorrect pricing even though I advised the rep at the time that I would like to use the discount being offered for the graduation as that was the reason for my visit. This rep charged me the full rate and kept insisting that she provided the discount. She also advised me that I would need to show the ID of the graduate at check in which made no sense. I called back and was able to reach someone in the states and she was able to book us using the discount. This second rep advised that it would be an additional charge for the extra adults in the room which we were fine with. There also seemed to be a discrepancy with the valet rate. I was told valet would be $24 then $25 to which I was charged $25. The difference isn't a big deal but providing conflicting information by the staff of the hotel is annoying. During our first night I advised the rep at the front desk that instead of 4 people in our room there would be 3 and I gave her the extra key card back, she claimed she would remove the additional charge for the fourth person. Upon checking out the rep (different from the last) advised that they don't charge for additional people in the room. A hotel stay should be the least of someone's worries when traveling. Which is why I go directly through the hotel instead of third-party vendors, I prefer seamless interactions. With all the misinformation this trip felt like I booked through a third-party because my expectation is that when everyone I speak to works for the same company then the information should be the same regardless. There seems to be no uniformity here.

Very limited parking in ...

Very limited parking in which you have to pay to park at a parking garage 2 blocks away, or pay for "vallet" parking which is in the front by the doors. There is hardly any normal parking.

The hotel itself was ...

The hotel itself was decent, but the experience was mixed. Valet service was a disappointment. It was $25 per day, and all they did was park my truck in a spot. When I called ahead to have the vehicle brought up, it wasn’t running or warmed up, which has been standard with every valet service I’ve used. They also required me to identify an item inside my vehicle before handing over my keys, even though I had the valet ticket, which felt unnecessary. To top it off, my seat was reclined all the way down for a short drive around the block. Valet service: 0/10. The hotel itself was okay, but feels dated. The room also had hair throughout the bathroom, which was disappointing from a cleanliness standpoint. Hotel overall: 6/10.

Valet parking seems to ...

Valet parking seems to be the only option other than that it's was a great stay.
